APPLY TO FEATURE
There are three ways to be considered for free publicity on The Artisan Founder:
- Apply for an editorial feature
- Submit a product for our product articles/directory
- Submit your brand to our Brand Directory
All submissions are reviewed editorially. Not every application will result in a feature, and inclusion is never guaranteed.
We do not operate a marketplace or take commission. Our role is editorial, and our aim is to help high-quality artisan businesses be discovered by the right audience.
Is it free to be featured?
Yes. Editorial features on The Artisan Founder are free press coverage.
We created our publication to celebrate founder-led artisan businesses who have mastered their craft, and to help readers discover thoughtful, well-made products.
Can any business be featured?
We feature high-quality artisan brands whose work aligns with our values of craftsmanship, considered design and small-batch making.
Brands must have their own websites so we can direct readers to buy directly from the maker.
I am a small/new business, is that OK?
Yes we feature both established and new, large and small artisan brands, with products across a broad range of price points.
I applied a while ago, can I apply again?
Yes, we encourage brands to keep in touch and to apply each season when we will be working on new articles and features.
Do you take commission or sell products?
No. We do not take commission from artisan brands or sell artisan products. We simply send readers to shop directly with artisan brands.
All links from The Artisan Founder lead directly to featured artisan brand’s websites, allowing readers to support independent businesses in the most direct way possible.
*Our advertising partners are non-artisan brands, for example Shopify, labelled as advertisers in our Journal.
Are there paid options or upgrades?
Yes, but only for brands selected for our Brand Directory.
Eligible brands may choose to enhance their presence with a full brand page, and may also be invited to feature in our printed Artisan Founder Newspaper. These options are never required for editorial coverage.
How are brands added to the Directory?
This may happen after an editorial feature, a product submission, or when a brand comes to our attention through our research and curation. We list brands we believe our readers would genuinely enjoy discovering.
You can submit your brand to the Directory too.
Could I be featured in the Newsletter?
Yes, when we write editorial pieces about brands or products, these are included in our weekly newsletter.
Can I send in a press release?
Absolutely, we love receiving press releases from PR agents or directly from brands. Email your product/brand news, seasonal ideas/recipes to us at [email protected] and if you are unsure how to write a release, see our guidance on How to write a Press Release.
