This beautiful Jacob Wool Blanket prize is worth £225 and will transform the lucky winner’s interior space.
The undyed yarn used to weave these beautiful blankets is a mix of Jacob, Texel, Shetland and Bluefaced Leicester fleeces, all sourced from farms in and around Sedbergh in the Yorkshire Dales.
Instead of my usual woollen spun yarn I had these fleeces semi-worsted spun. The result is a more characterful yarn which is stronger and somewhat smoother than it would be if woollen spun, creating a more luxurious feeling in the woven fabric.

When I set out to learn to weave 30 years ago I didn’t expect it to become an all consuming creative passion. I also didn’t expect to turn that passion into a small business.
But life often throws us a curve ball and I have had the rare privilege to find myself on an exhilarating journey into a world of wool, textiles and weaving.
